This is a free step-by-step crochet pattern for a cute mini flowerpot. You need a crochet hook size 2.5mm (US number 1.5), a tapestry needle and some yarn suitable for this size crochet hook. If you have already made the Mini Flower Friends, use the same hook size and yarn weight. The yarn I used for the flowerpot is Durable Coral: Grenadine 2193. It has a lovely bright terracotta appearance.

Crochet the flowerpot in continuous rounds. In round 13 you crochet through the back loops only (BLO). This results in free front loops (picture 1). Crochet round 17 together with the front loops that were created in round 13. Insert your hook through a loop, then through the stitch and make a single crochet (picture 2). Finish the round and fold the edge upright. You now have a flowerpot with a thickened edge (picture 3).
TIP: If you find it difficult to crochet round 17 together with the free loops from round 13, you can also crochet round 17 as a normal round of single crochets. Next, fold the edge of the flowerpot over the loops, check you are satisfied with the width of the edge and sew the edge by hand all around.
